Uplands Academy are seeking applications from dedicated and hardworking professionals with a desire to work in a successful, thriving and supportive secondary Academy making a positive contribution to both our Technology and PE Departments as a technician. You will be required, in each department, to help setup equipment, support lessons and carry out any administrative tasks required. Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given for the right candidate. 

The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and a genuine desire to help contribute positively to the life of our young people. Uplands Academy converted to an Academy in September 2022 and became a member of the MARK Education Trust (formally Beacon Community College Academy Trust). This role is 24 hours per week, term time only. The hours are allocated as 19 hours per week in Technology and 5 hours per week in PE.

We are flexible with working hours allocation, and these hours can be worked over three to five days per week. Working days and time can be agreed on appointment. This role is paid on Single Status Grade 4, currently £24,404 to £24,790 per annum full time equivalent. The actual salary, working 24 hours per week, term time only, will be £13,904.01 to £14,123.93.
