About this Role

Key Responsibilities:

This is a strategic and highly influential leadership position within our pastoral structure. Reporting to the Assistant Headteacher for Pastoral, you will:

  • Lead and line manage Heads of Year and members of the Pastoral Team
  • Drive a strong Behaviour for Learning culture across the school
  • Lead on behaviour systems including suspensions, reintegration, report cards, Reset Room and intervention strategies
  • Monitor and analyse behaviour, attendance and safeguarding data to identify trends and implement impactful strategies
  • Work closely with the Deputy Headteacher (Inclusion) and Assistant Headteacher (Behaviour & Attitudes) to deliver an outstanding pastoral vision
  • Support students with SEMH and behavioural needs to successfully follow ‘The Kingsway’
  • Build strong partnerships with families and external agencies to secure positive outcomes

This role requires resilience, strategic thinking and the ability to balance high expectations with care and compassion.

  • Has successfully led and developed teams
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Has experience managing behaviour systems, suspensions and reintegration processes
  • Is deeply committed to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
  • Champions equality, inclusion and high expectations for all
  • Is resilient, reflective and driven to make a lasting difference
