SEN Teaching Assistant
Fixed Term Part Time to commence as soon as possible - 12 hours per week (mornings)
To be paid at NJC Band C Scale Point 5 £13.26ph (39 weeks per year)
This particular role is linked to EHCP funding to support a pupil in Early Years with high levels of SEND. We are looking for an individual who has excellent skills and knowledge in this area and is able to evidence previous experience of working with SEN children in a primary school to ensure the statutory needs can be met for these pupils. CPD will be provided along with support from outside agencies.

We are looking for someone with a strong, sensitive and caring approach to children’s needs, who is able to be an effective communicator and think creatively. You will need to show a high degree of initiative and be solution focussed.
Ideally, you will:
Provide a sensitive and nurturing approach to children’s needs
Be able to build positive relationships with children, staff and parents
Have excellent English and Maths skills
Be willing to work as part of a team and have a good sense of humour
Be able to use your own initiative when required
Have experience in a similar role in a school
Have prior knowledge and experience of working with children with special educational needs
You should have literacy and numeracy to GCSE A-C or equivalent.
