About this Role

Are you a passionate, strategic, and child-centred leader of SEND?
Do you believe every child, regardless of need, deserves an ambitious and inspiring education?
If so, we would love you to join our team.

Pinchbeck East CE Primary Academy and Spalding Academy and Nursery are seeking an exceptional Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator (SENDCO) to lead and champion SEND provision across both academies. This is a non-teaching role and a key position within the Senior Leadership Team, offering the opportunity to shape our inclusive culture and make a transformational difference to children and families.

About the Role

As SENDCO, you will:

·       Provide strategic leadership of SEND across both academies.

·       Ensure full compliance with the SEND Code of Practice (2015).

·       Lead the identification, assessment, and provision for pupils with SEND.

·       Coordinate high-quality interventions, personalised plans, and effective support.

·       Work closely with teachers, support staff, external professionals, and families.

·       Oversee the SEND register and statutory processes, including EHCPs and annual reviews.

·       Monitor and evaluate the impact of SEND provision across both academies.

·       Provide coaching and professional development to staff.

·       Be a visible and proactive member of the Senior Leadership Team.

This is an exciting role for someone who is committed to building strong, inclusive practice and has the drive to ensure that every child with SEND receives the very best support, through the highest of expectations.

We Are Looking for Someone Who:

·       Holds QTS and the National Award for SEND Coordination or NPQ for SEND (or is willing to work towards it).

·       Has experience of leading SEND provision in a primary setting and working with a range of needs.

·       Has excellent knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and current legislation.

·       Is an excellent communicator who builds strong relationships with families and professionals.

·       Has strategic insight, strong organisation, and a commitment to high expectations.

·       Is motivated by making a difference and championing inclusion.

What We Offer:

The opportunity to work across two caring, supportive, and forward-thinking school communities.

A central leadership role with genuine impact on whole-school development.

Strong professional development opportunities, including Trust-wide SEND networks.

A warm, collaborative staff team and a commitment to wellbeing.

Children who are enthusiastic, unique, and eager to learn.
