About this Role

Network Manager – Full Time, 37 hours per week

Salary £31,537 - £39,862 - Depending on experience.

Central Learning Partnership Trust are looking to appoint an enthusiast and technically capable Network Manager to join the trust’s in-house Central IT team to support our hub of academies. The post will be based at Heath Park School, WV11 1RD including supporting our other schools as required.

The successful candidate will need to be:

  • A self-motivated individual and dedicated to supporting staff and students
  • Able to effectively work as part of a team, forming positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
  • Have high expectations of themselves and others
  • Have at least 2 year’s experience in a similar role.
  • Have access to a vehicle with business insurance.

 Overview of the role:

  •  Line Manage the Schools IT Technicians.
  • Provide technical support to staff and students, and where necessary across the other Trust schools.
  • Support the Central IT team with technical and project assistance where required.
  • Assist and advise the Head of IT with identifying suitable upgrades to equipment and the Schools IT Infrastructure.
  • Maintain and manage the IT helpdesk.
  • Manage Azure Directory and Cloud solutions
  • Ensure an up-to-date inventory of ICT equipment, software licenses and consumables are maintained.
  • Manage MIS applications and user accounts.
  • Support and manage the database infrastructure for onsite servers and systems that are not cloud based. Including, door access control, WiFi, Arbor, Sage or similar.
  • Responsible for installing and maintaining school networks and infrastructure equipment including servers, switches and firewall devices.
  • Troubleshoot Firewalls & Switches
  • Manage the installation of all new computer hardware including wireless, fibre optic, CAT6 networks and external projects, as required
  • Responsibility to ensure off-site encrypted back-ups are in place and tested in accordance to Cyber Security requirements.
  • Configure & maintain networks in line with Cyber Security requirements
