Alder Grove Church of England Primary School is a new school in Shinfield, Wokingham which opened in September 2020. We are now looking to recruit a two new Lunchtime Controllers. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of skilled and motivated staff looking to support the best outcomes for our children.

The role involves:

The provision of a safe and happy lunch time environment for all staff and pupils. Duties include supervising pupils while they eat their lunch; encouraging healthy choices and ensuring pupils are safe and engaged in purposeful play. Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage.

The successful applicant should have: 

  • excellent communication skills with young children
  • the ability to work under your own initiative as well as part of an established team
  • the ability to organise and teach children to play games.
  • first aid qualification or be willing to undertake first aid training
