About this Role

About this Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Cranbury College as we open a new specialist provision for up to 16 SEMH primary aged students who require a nurture based environment in which to thrive and succeed. As a teacher at Cranbury College, you will ensure high standards of teaching and learning are delivered to our students, recognising that the delivery of a robust and motivational curriculum is of the upmost importance.  You will also play a crucial part in our students' journey to success, ensuring that they are ready for their next steps and experience a sense of belonging and mattering in order to be successful. This is a challenging but very rewarding role, teaching some of the most vulnerable pupils in Reading and neighbouring Local Authorities. The ability to make education exciting and build strong relationships is essential, as is a good sense of humour and an ability to work closely as part of a team.
Applications will be welcomed from both qualified and unqualified candidates and a visit to our site is recommended.

About Cranbury College

Cranbury College is an Alternative Provision Academy for young people ranging from 5-16 years old. We support learners who have been permanently excluded from mainstream settings and provide preventative support to those who are at risk of permanent exclusion. Additionally, we support those that unintentionally exclude themselves from education and children who cannot access school for medical reasons. We are a multi-site organisation which includes our Primary provision, based at College Road and Secondary provision, based at Cranbury Road. We have Outreach teams that provide specialist support within schools and a Hospital Teaching Service based at Royal Berkshire Hospital who provide education to children on short and long term stays. Cranbury College is a fast paced, energetic setting where we pride ourselves on a strong team ethic, always working together to create a nurturing and supportive setting for our student's alternative pathway to success.
