"In our Early Years setting, the classroom doesn't have four walls. Whether it's a crisp January morning or a sunny June afternoon, our children are in and out of our wonderful covered outdoor space, learning through discovery all year round."
As our new Early Years Teacher, you won't just be delivering a curriculum; you will be the architect of a child’s very first relationship with learning. You will lead a space where the transition between indoor and outdoor play is seamless, ensuring every child in our picturesque Cotswold setting feels included, heard, and inspired to grow.
A passion for the Early Years: You understand the magic of child-led learning and how to capture "teachable moments" in the moment.
Outdoor energy: You are excited by the prospect of a year-round outdoor learning environment.
Relational heart: You align with our core values of compassion and integrity, building strong bonds with families and colleagues.
Inclusion mindset: You have a proven ability to adapt your teaching to meet individual student needs, ensuring no child is left behind.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Essential for this role.
A Picturesque Professional Home: Work in a historic Oxfordshire town on the edge of the Evenlode Valley, with the vibrance of the Wilderness Festival and a truly supportive local community.
A Culture of Integrity: Join a team that moves away from "performative" tasks to focus on what genuinely improves outcomes for our children.
Nature-Focused Education: We lean into our location, using our beautiful surroundings and outdoor facilities to enhance the daily experience of both staff and pupils.
"Education has the power to change lives... we are better, faster, stronger together." As part of the River Learning Trust, you enjoy the best of both worlds: the unique, tight-knit feel of a village school with the professional security of a large, stable Trust.
Professional Security: Enjoy recognised continuous service and a government-backed pension (TPS).
Shared Growth: Access to RLT-funded professional pathways, including leadership development and specialist CPLD.
The Whole Person: 24/7 Employee Assistance for you and your family, and a commitment to flexible working that actually works.
River Learning Trust and Charlbury Primary School are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and preventing extremism. We want you to be at your best during the application process; if you require any reasonable adjustments, please let us know. Note: We do not accept CVs; please apply via My New Term.
