About this Role

Our new Out of School Club provision, Polecats OSC, is looking for a Cook to assist the team with food preparation and overall food safety.  This is a term time only role working Monday-Friday 15:00-17:00 (a total of 10 hours per week).  The salary for this role is Grade 3 SCP5 (Annual FTE) £24,790, actual hourly rate £12.85.

 Duties will include the following: 

  • Day to day food preparation (both hot and cold)
  • Cleaning of all food preparation areas
  • Ongoing food preparation and cleaning associated paperwork and administration
  • Assist with food ordering
  • Assist with meal plans and long-term menu selections
  • Support Allergy Management.

 To be considered for this position, you will need to:

  • Be adaptable to all aspects of the role
  • Be efficient in completing tasks over a short, medium and long term timeframe
  • Be fully committed to being part of a hard-working team
  • Undertake training to ensure you are compliant with legal expectations for food preparation.

 It would be an advantage if you:

  • Have previous experience in the same or similar role
  • Hold a recognised food hygiene qualification
