Holmwood School is part of the Inspiring Futures through Learning, Multi-Academy Trust, which comprises of fifteen schools across Milton Keynes and Corby. The Trust is committed to developing a family of schools whose purpose is to inspire the futures of us all through learning together.

We are looking for an experienced individual with a relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification to join our Early Years team in our wonderful nursery to provide high quality care and education that meets the needs of Early Years children in a school setting. We are looking for someone who is positive, a team player and holds the interest of the school and children at the heart of everything they do. Hours available are 11:30am - 3:30pm but could be 11:30am - 6pm if applied for in conjunction with our wraparound care post. 

As an Early Years Practitioner, you would be based in our brand new 2 Year Old provision, overseen by our Qualified Nursery Teacher and our Early Years Lead. 


Aim and main purpose of the job (including but not limited to)

·         Provide a welcoming and stimulating learning environment to enable children to learn through play and grow in confidence.

·         Observe, monitor, evaluate and record all aspects of the children's development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum in order that every child will fulfill their potential.

·         Ensure appropriate standards of safety and security are maintained at all times to safeguard the welfare of the children in line with the Statutory Welfare Requirements.

·         Encourage parents to be partners in their child's development by working together and having a positive impact on the children's learning

·         Ensure appropriate standards of hygiene are met at all times in line with school policies and procedures

The role will be primarily based at Holmwood School and Nursery, Great Holm, Milton Keynes.
