The Woodlands Community Primary School Tamworth is seeking energetic, creative and hardworking Teaching Assistants.

You will be supporting the whole class as well as taking small groups of children or 1:1.  The requirement to work with initiative, pro-actively and as part of a wider team are key skills we will be looking for in those applying for these positions.

For this role, you will need to:

  • have previous experience of working with primary aged children within a school setting, preferably KS1 and/or KS2 depending on the position
  • have confidence in dealing with pupils with different abilities
  • possess good interpersonal and communication skills
  • be good at working as part of a wider team
  • have up to date knowledge of basic assessment techniques,
  • be able to work on your own with groups of children, directing and adapting lessons according to need and ongoing outcomes.
  • be adaptable, flexible and resilient to the day-to-day rigours of school life
