About Us
Capella House is part of The Auriga Academy Trust, a small local specialist academy chain. The Trust and its constituent special schools work in a close and supportive partnership with each school maintaining its unique identity and ethos. All Trust schools are in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, South West London which has excellent public transport links.
Capella House stands out for its unique approach to education. Our classes, with a maximum of 8 pupils, are supported by dedicated teachers, HLTAs, TAs, and our own team of speech, occupational therapists and assistants. We take pride in our inclusive and motivating teaching, delivering a bespoke curriculum adapted from the National Curriculum, supported by regular interventions. All our KS4 pupils have opportunities to access a range of qualifications, including Entry Level, Functional skills and GCSE.
Who We're Looking For
We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and committed teacher to join our secondary site.
Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, be fast learners, and have the ability to work as part of a highly skilled multidisciplinary team. The role involves teaching English and Maths to KS3 pupils, along with a foundation subject. A specialism in Geography is preferred but not essential.
Whether you bring experience from mainstream education with a demonstrable interest in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or from a special education background, we encourage you to apply.
