About you
The successful applicant should have a passion for
working with pupils who have special educational needs and disabilities. You
will engage with pupils, families,
parents, carers, professionals and voluntary workers to identify the needs of
pupils and families and help find ways of meeting those needs. Experience
of working with pupils with SEN, emotional or social difficulties and their
families is essential, as is experience of assessment and working to plans. It
is expected that the successful candidate will have a relevant Level 3
qualification or higher in a relevant field.
The Role
We would like to appoint a Family Support Worker
who will also act as deputy designated safeguarding lead (DDSL) to identify
support required by parents and pupils and deliver or signpost parents to
appropriate support from other agencies in order to reduce barriers to learning
and improve pupil wellbeing and outcomes.
The post is full-time, working 37 hours per week
(Monday to Friday), term time only plus inset, plus two weeks to be worked by
arrangement in the school holidays. Please
note that you will be expected to take all holidays when the school is not in
session.
