Hours:                                 Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3.15 pm, 31.25 hours per week
                                                Term time only, 38 weeks per year

Salary:                                 KRC of Kent pay scales £25,252 FTE (£17,954 actual)

River Mill Primary School is situated in Dartford.  We are looking for a motivated Learning Support Assistant to work in a mainstream classroom. The successful candidate will also ensure that the children are supported to behave in a thoughtful, responsible and considerate manner.

The successful candidate will: 

  • Be working closely alongside the class teacher to help support children with SEND needs
  • Support the children’s learning and engagement
  • Help support the children’s well-being in the class environment
  • Have the ability to be flexible with their duties
  • Have an understanding of working with children who have SEND and the challenges that are presented by these.
  • Support the teacher to enable all pupils to make progress during lessons
  • Have the ability to be flexible with their duties
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills
  • Provide feedback to teachers
  • Have lots of enthusiasm and patience for working with children. 
  • Have a Level 2 qualification in either Childcare and Development or equivalent 
  • Be able to work well within a team
