About this Role

Sacks Morasha Jewish Primary School is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and dedicated Kodesh Teaching Assistant to join our warm and vibrant school community. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed individual to support our pupils in their Jewish learning and help nurture their connection to Torah, Jewish values, and Israel.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with children, ideally within a Jewish educational setting.
  • Possess strong knowledge of Jewish studies, Hebrew text and Jewish life.
  • Be enthusiastic about supporting children in their Jewish learning journey.
  • Be able to work with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning.
  • Be committed to nurturing pupils’ Jewish identity and connection to Israel.
  • Work collaboratively with class teachers and colleagues as part of a supportive team.
  • Contribute positively to the warm ethos and SMART values of the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of engaging Kodesh lessons under the guidance of the Kodesh teacher.
  • Work with small groups or 1:1 to help pupils access the curriculum and meet their targets.
  • Foster a love of Torah, mitzvot and Jewish values among pupils.
  • Assist in creating a positive, inclusive, and well-organised classroom environment.
  • Help prepare resources and materials for Kodesh lessons and school festivals.
  • Support pupils’ academic, spiritual, and personal development.
