About this Role

The Whitehaven Academy is part of Cumbria Education Trust. CET is a growing multi-academy trust based in Cumbria; and is committed to creating outstanding, innovative and inspiring learning environments for our schools and their communities. The successful candidates will be joining CET at an exciting time, as we continue to build on our successes and move forward on our journey to establish ourselves as one of the highest performing MATs in the North of England.

This is an excellent opportunity to join The Whitehaven Academy at a pivotal time for its future. There has been significant financial investment to redevelop the school which moved into its state-of-the-art new building in 2022 and new sports facilities added in 2023. The school continues to expand, and we were again oversubscribed for Year 7 admissions in September 2024.

The successful candidate should:

be enthusiastic, reliable, adaptable and highly motivated
have experience in DIY
have excellent inter-personal skills and be able to communicate effectively with the site team, educational professionals and young people
have a forward-looking approach with the drive, initiative and ability to respond quickly situations as they arise in school
