We are looking for a Science Technician to bring practical science to life, supporting exceptional teaching and creating a safe, dynamic space for young scientists.

Key responsibilities:

• Prepare, set up and maintain equipment, materials and resources for science lessons.
• Assist teachers during practical lessons to ensure safe and efficient delivery.
• Ensure all laboratory spaces meet the required health and safety standards.
• Carry out routine safety checks on equipment and report faults.
• Set up and test experiments before lessons to ensure they run smoothly.

Pay range:

• NJC SCP 10-15
• £27,286.46 - £29,549.48 (Fringe Allowance)
• FTE - £31,024.00 - £33,597.00

Qualifications and Skills:

• GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in Maths, English and Science
• NVQ or equivalent qualifications or experience in similar position
• Strong communication skills, able to work closely with science teachers and wider staff
• Reliable, responsible and professional
• Enthusiastic about supporting young people to learn through hands-on-science
