About this Role

We seek to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring Teacher of Computing to work with a small team of committed colleagues who form part of the Creative and Digital Technologies Team. We currently provide the opportunity to teach Computing across all three key stages and offer both GCSE and A level qualifications in Computer Science, Cambridge National Creative iMedia and BTEC IT. This position offers someone with good communication and interpersonal skills a fantastic opportunity to join an ambitious and forward-thinking school. Applicants must be committed to delivering high standards of teaching and learning.

Our Computing department is proud to offer a varied and innovative curriculum that values and invests in the students we teach. We are privileged to have such talented students that show real energy and flair for their lessons. Many of our students have gone on to thrive in the field of Information Technology and Computing. Our strategy is centred around the students we teach and our courses give students a solid grounding in the foundations of Computing and the wider skills and attributes needed to prosper in a digital environment. Our department is fortunate to have a strong team of four enthusiastic and supportive professionals who work to provide high-quality and student-focused lessons

Our staff support our students in an extraordinary range of ways and at the heart of this lies our House System. Every member of staff and every student is in one of our four Houses and we have an extensive programme of House Activities on offer; from House Water Polo to House Fishing, from House General Knowledge to House Dragons’ Den; as well as the traditional football, rugby, lacrosse, athletics, basketball, etc.

We are exceptionally proud of our staff and the dedication they display every day to support our students to reach their potential. Whether a member of our Leadership Team, Teaching Staff or Support Team – all have a vital role to play in providing an environment where we can provide world class education where all can achieve.

We offer highly competitive salaries, pension scheme membership, free on-site parking and regular social events. All staff are able to access discounted gym memberships and other negotiated benefits across the Trust.
