About this Role

SEND Teaching Assistant

There are two roles available, one morning position which is 8.45am to 11.45am daily and one afternoon position which is 1.15pm to 3.15pm daily.

Do you have experience of working with young people aged 3 – 11?

Are you an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant looking to join a warm and welcoming school? You will have a talent for engaging children and will be required to work flexibly across all age groups and abilities.

This role complements the work of our teachers by providing in-class and small group support to our children. You may, on occasion, be required to plan work and assess the progress of our children.

There will be opportunities to develop within the school and make a valued contribution to our children's learning.

You will:

  • Hold a recognised level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Support the Classroom Teacher to inspire and enthuse our children
  • Be caring and supportive

Saint Mary's Catholic Voluntary  Academy New Mills, part of the St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi-Academy Trust, is located in Insert School Location.  We are an Ofsted rated good school.

The role is offered on a fixed term basis, one role is working 15 hours per week (mornings), term time only (39 weeks per year) and the other is 10 hours per week (afternoons) term time only (39 weeks per year).  This role is a Band 3 NJC scale points 6 to 9 FTE (£25,989 - £27,254)
