About this Role

Having appointed a Director of English as well as experienced teachers in the first five years of opening, King’s Academy Binfield (KAB) is now looking to appoint a highly motivated, dynamic and innovative teacher of English to play an intrinsic role in our growing team in our all-through academy in Bracknell Forest.

Applicants will be joining a faculty that:

  •      Is passionate about subject specific CPD
  •      Is motivated to look for opportunities to improve the well-being of its staff
  •      Seeks opportunities to work collaboratively across the faculty
  •      Understands the importance of curriculum design and delivery
  •      Is reflective and focused on improving teaching and learning at all levels
  •      Has a fantastic modern library resource to support student learning

KAB opened in a superb building in September 2018 with 120 Year 7 students. Now KAB consists of Nursery - Year 6 in the primary phase and Year 7 - Year 13 in the secondary phase. In September 2019, KAO, a brand new 1 FE primary school a mile away opened. After years of growth, KAO has the full range of primary age classes from Year R - Year 6.  Both academies are run cohesively sharing the same leadership, staff, values, curriculum, opportunities and expectations of excellence.

There will also be increasing opportunities for leadership roles within the department as well as potential whole school roles available. The successful applicant will teach across the secondary phase and sixth form experience is desirable.

Applicants should be excellent teachers and have the ability to motivate, inspire and lead students to excel.  The successful candidate will be a team player and will get stuck in and involve themselves in the wider aspects of academy life.

King’s Academy Binfield and King’s Academy Oakwood are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young students and expects all staff to share this commitment. The successful applicant will need to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.

We encourage visits prior to application.  If you would like to arrange a visit or an informal phone call regarding the role, please do contact us, we would be delighted to meet you!
