About this Role

Are you ready for a challenge to boost your career? A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the team of our small village primary school. We are seeking a teacher for our KS2 class. This class has pupils from Years 3 – 6. One of the most rewarding things about working in a very small school is that teachers can gain experience in all year groups. The right candidate will have the energy, commitment and enthusiasm to be a great teacher for our children. Passion and knowledge of the KS2 curriculum is particularly important. We aspire to be the happiest school in the UK, and are looking for someone who can help us to achieve this.

We believe that our children should have a caring, nurturing environment in which to learn and grow. We know them all as individuals and everyone involved in the school is committed to achieving success for them. We work collaboratively across our federation and multi academy trust to ensure that we have a great offer for both children and adults.

We can offer:

A small, but highly supportive and effective team

Great children who are kind and eager to learn

Strong relationships with our parents, local community and federation

We are looking for:

A talented individual who can work alongside colleagues to inspire young minds, getting the very best out of our children

Someone who has a real passion for teaching and learning; who has energy, drive, enthusiasm and creativity

A commitment to equality and inclusion so that all pupils thrive

A work ethic that is bound by energy, loyalty, passion and integrity

We have an exciting opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic and committed teacher to our school. As part of the Yorkshire Learning Trust we pride ourselves on the work that we do supporting young people.

What we can offer you:

Enthusiastic, polite, well-mannered pupils who enjoy the challenges and experiences that we offer

A dedicated team, committed to giving our children the best possible start to their education,

A highly motivated team who share great ideas, celebrate successes and tackle challenges together

A dedicated and supportive leadership team and a supportive governing body

Collaborative opportunities to work with supportive and enthusiastic colleagues across both our sister school and wider Trust

A commitment to your professional development

Our children need you if you:

         Have primary teaching experience

Have high expectations and the highest ambition for all pupils

Have a passion to make a difference to the lives of children, with a real ability to inspire and motivate them to strive for excellence

Have high expectations of pupil's achievement and behaviour

Can deliver a dynamic and stimulating learning environment to engage all pupils

Possesses a strong commitment to raising standards

Have the ability to forge strong relationships with parents

Our staff and governors would like to meet you if you:

Are prepared to go the extra mile and want to work among experienced and forward-thinking people

Have consistently high expectations, excellent organisational skills and a commitment to your continuous professional development

Have a positive approach, a good sense of humour and are hardworking

Have a subject area of expertise you can offer the school

If you want to make a difference and are committed to improving life chances for children, we would love to meet you and show you around our school. We are proud to be a member of the YLT.

Visits are welcome by appointment.
