To
cover a period of maternity leave, we are seeking to appoint a temporary,
passionate, and committed teacher to join our thriving PE department. Teaching
PE to students of all abilities across KS3 and KS4, you will have the
opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of our young people.
The PE
department delivers an effective and aspirational curriculum designed to
inspire life-long enjoyment of, and participation in, exercise and physical
activity. The department is fortunate to have access to a wide range of
high-quality facilities, including a large astro-turf, MUGA, sports hall,
swimming pool, fitness suite, dance studio, activity studio and extensive
playing fields. The team consists of seven members of staff, including several
who hold whole-school leadership responsibilities. We also offer a broad and
well-attended extra-curricular programme, and the successful candidate will be
expected to contribute to this. The ability to teach GCSE PE and/or BTEC Sport
would be advantageous, although not essential.
The
successful candidate will benefit from regular CPD, support from a friendly and
collegiate department, and opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across
Chorus Trust.
This
role plays a vital part in ensuring the continued improvement of outcomes for
all students.
