Vacancy for Teaching Assistant
Grade D (SCP 5-6) - £17,554 - £17,832 per annum, pro-rated
(£24,790 - £25,183 Full-time equivalent)
Part-time - 30 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (Term time + 1 week)
Fixed term to 22nd July 2025 with the possibility of a permanent contract.

Glade Academy has an exciting opportunity for a Teaching Assistant to join our established team. The successful candidate will be joining a vibrant and ambitious organisation, led by experienced and supportive professionals.
Our team of Teaching Assistants work under the direction of our Teachers and senior staff, embracing the school's ethos. They undertake care and learning programs, supporting individuals or groups of pupils, including those with special educational needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will enable pupils to access learning and assist the teacher in managing both pupils and the classroom.
To support our Teachers, you will create and maintain a purposeful, orderly, and supportive environment in line with lesson plans and assist with displaying pupils' work. You will also be required to attend and participate in relevant meetings, training sessions, and other learning activities, as well as engage in performance development as needed. This post is to work across all 5 days of the academy week and to attend work on inset days for essential training.
Skills and Experience:
Experience of working in an education setting.
Experience of classroom management
Experience of working with children of a relevant age
Ability to communicate effectively with both adults and children, of all abilities.
General understanding of National Curriculum and other base learning programmes
Creative in problem solving and willing to take on and try new approaches and ideas
Understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities and own position within these
Understanding of, and ability to comply with the requirements of safeguarding/Child Protection
