About this Role

Are you passionate about student welfare and pastoral care? Okehampton College is seeking a dedicated House Leader to join our team to cover a colleague on maternity leave. This pivotal role involves leading on students' pastoral needs, supporting tutors, line managing deputy house leaders, and working closely with families to ensure safeguarding and early help.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pastoral Leadership: Provide comprehensive support to students, addressing their emotional, social, and academic needs.
  • Tutor Support: Collaborate with tutors to enhance student engagement and well-being.
  • Line Management: Oversee deputy house leaders, ensuring effective team performance and development.
  • Family Engagement: Work with families within your house to address safeguarding concerns and provide early help interventions.
  • Behaviour Standards: Uphold high standards of student behaviour, promoting a positive and respectful school environment. Work with students to address behavioural issues and support them in meeting expectations.
