has a robust knowledge and understanding of child development and the Birth - 5 framework
can support the working relationship with pupils, acting as a role model and setting high expectations of speaking, listening, hygiene and manners
is adaptable and a team player, who can help to oversee, maintain and organise a clean, tidy, child-friendly environment - leading activities such as creative play, cooking, reading and outdoor/physical activities
can promote inclusion and ensure all children are safe, happy, stimulated and communicating
can plan, observe, keep records and communicate with parents/carer about their child’s day
can meet the personal care needs of pupils, whilst encouraging their independence (including toileting and feeding)
is committed to their own professional learning
