Do you value respect in every interaction?

Are you driven by ambition to inspire young minds through language?

Do you take responsibility for making a real difference every day?

If so, Queen Katharine Academy would love to hear from you!

Your role:

As a trainee teacher of MFL, you will learn to craft engaging, well-planned lessons that bring language learning to life and support every student to achieve their full potential. You will develop the skills to teach across Key Stages, building students’ confidence in communication while promoting a love of languages and cultural understanding. With guidance from experienced colleagues, you will plan, deliver and assess learning, gaining experience in monitoring progress, adapting teaching to meet varied needs, and creating inclusive classrooms where every learner feels valued and challenged.

You will grow into a teacher who sets high expectations, builds positive relationships and inspires young people through creative and purposeful learning experiences. Alongside this, you will contribute to the wider life of the Academy, supporting students’ personal development, working collaboratively with colleagues, and engaging with professional development opportunities that strengthen your practice.

We are looking for someone with a passion for languages, a strong subject knowledge and a commitment to developing effective teaching and learning strategies. You will be motivated to raise achievement, able to build rapport with students and colleagues, and eager to learn how to deliver inclusive, high-quality lessons that support all learners to thrive.
