Course Leader/Tutor Media Studies
Full Time, Permanent. To start 20th August 2025
Salary: Points 1-9 of the Sixth Form College Teachers pay spine, £32,178 - £49,725. Course Leader Responsibility Allowance: £1,159 - £2,960 (Tier 2.1-2.5)
We are seeking to appoint a
qualified teacher with excellent subject knowledge and a proven track record of
success to lead and teach A and AS Level Media Studies. We are looking for
someone with course leadership ambitions who can drive forward and expand our
dynamic and growing media provision. There may be opportunity to teach on A and
AS Film Studies within the context of a large, supportive and knowledgeable
team. We offer a range of enrichment activities including theatre trips, film
club, college journalists, conferences and creative writing. We have
developed exciting links with the film
and television industry through our links to the ITV Academy and our Connected
Campus programme which is driven by OSFC and Screen Manchester. Sitting within the Curriculum Area of English,
MFL, and Film, Media Studies teaching benefits from an opportunity to deliver
theoretical and practical skills and knowledge to students who are keen to
develop their analytical and creative skills in a collaborative environment.

experienced teachers or ECTs.

education. All students and teachers are
issued with a Chromebook/laptop.
