Site Manager – Specialist Premises & Facilities Leadership

Newbridge Academy is a large, inclusive all-through SEND academy dedicated to empowering pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. With two dynamic campuses and a wide age range, we offer a unique and rewarding environment where every day brings new opportunities to make a difference.

Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for creating safe, efficient, and welcoming learning environments? Do you thrive in a role that blends facilities management, team leadership, and strategic oversight? If so, we want to hear from you!

We’re looking for a proactive Site/Facilities Manager to take charge of our vibrant school campuses, ensuring everything runs smoothly—from security and maintenance to health & safety and contractor coordination. You’ll lead a dedicated team of caretakers, lifeguards, and cleaners, and play a key role in supporting out-of-hours lettings and hydro pool operations.  This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping the learning environment for our pupils and supporting the wider community through lettings and specialist services.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Leadership & Oversight
Manage caretakers and cleaners across both sites, ensuring high standards and efficient operations. Lead by example and support staff development through performance monitoring and work allocation.
  • Specialist Premises Management
Take charge of specialist site services, including hydro pool facilities, and ensure our buildings and grounds are safe, secure, and inspiring.
  • Health & Safety Champion
Conduct daily checks, manage fire safety systems, and promote a culture of safety for pupils, staff, and visitors.
  • Security & Surveillance
Oversee alarm systems, CCTV, and site access procedures. Be the first line of defence against risks like vandalism and arson.
  • Maintenance & Contractor Coordination
Supervise external contractors and contribute to planned and preventative maintenance schedules. Ensure timely repairs and upkeep of facilities.
  • Out-of-Hours Support
Assist with lettings and community use of facilities, including hydro pool access (additional hours available via timesheet).
  • Reporting & Analysis
Maintain accurate records and produce reports to support strategic decision-making.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A confident and experienced facilities professional
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
  • Flexibility to support out-of-hours activities
