About the role:
We are seeking to appoint a class teacher (maternity cover) who is committed to providing a welcoming, stimulating learning experience for all students. What we are really looking for is someone who is passionate about working with students with special educational needs and someone who is willing to contribute to the broader Academy life. This is a part time role and provides an exciting opportunity for someone who is seeking to work in a new environment or is looking for flexibility over their working days which can be agreed with the successful candidate but will then be fixed.
About you:
We are looking for someone who is:
familiar with delivering a thematic curriculum
familiar with adapting their teaching for a range of learning needs
creative, enthusiastic and dedicated to ensuring that students’ individual needs are met
able to provide students with a positive learning journey and to help them to achieve their aspirations.
Experience of working with autistic young people would be advantageous.
This role is suitable for experienced professionals who wish to progress their career, both from mainstream and SEND settings.
About us:
Our purpose-built building opened in January 2018 and currently provides 131 places for students (4-18) who may be autistic, have significant Speech, Language and Communication Difficulties and have Severe Learning Difficulties.
