About this Role

About Us

The East Manchester Academy is a vibrant and innovative educational community in the heart of Beswick. We are a part of the Greater Manchester Education Trust. Together, we create lives of opportunity.

‘The East Manchester Academy is a beacon of hope and aspiration for pupils’ (Ofsted 2023)

‘The sense of community is tangible in this inclusive school.’ (Ofsted 2025)

This is a truly exciting time to join The East Manchester Academy as we continue our journey of transformation. Following our most recent Ofsted inspection in March 2025, we are proud to have been judged ‘Good’ overall, with ‘Outstanding’ in Personal Development and Leadership and Management. This marks a significant step forward from our previous inspection and reflects the dedication, ambition, and talent of our staff and students. We are now ready to build on this momentum and accelerate our journey to become an exceptional school where every child flourishes both academically and personally.

Please visit our website  to learn more about us and contact: recruitment@temac.co.uk if you would like to arrange a visit to the academy prior to application.

The Role

This is a varied and pivotal role supporting the Data Manager to ensure the smooth, secure and compliant delivery of all internal and external examinations. You will take responsibility for the end-to-end administration of the exams process, from planning and candidate entries through to results day and post-results services. Working in line with JCQ and awarding body regulations, you will oversee exam timetabling, manage secure materials, coordinate invigilators, and act as the key point of contact for all examination-related matters.

The role requires strong organisation and attention to detail, as you will manage multiple deadlines, liaise with a wide range of stakeholders, and ensure all processes are completed accurately and on time. You will also play an important role in safeguarding the integrity of assessments, supporting inspections, and contributing to the wider life of the academy as part of a collaborative Data and Administration team.

What We're Looking For

You are a highly organised and methodical administrator with excellent time management and IT skills, capable of managing complex processes with accuracy and efficiency. With strong communication skills, you are confident working with staff, students, parents, and external organisations, ensuring information is clear, timely and compliant. You demonstrate sound judgement, discretion and a calm approach, particularly when working under pressure or managing sensitive information.

Ideally, you will have experience of working with data systems (such as SIMS) and an understanding of examinations processes, although a willingness to learn and adapt is equally important. You are flexible, proactive and committed to continuous improvement, with a strong alignment to the values and ethos of the academy. Above all, you are dedicated to ensuring a fair, secure and well-managed examination experience for all students.

Full details about the role and the qualifications, experience, and attributes required can be found in the attached Job Description and Person Specification.
