This is a fantastic leadership opportunity for a committed and talented leader to join the Tile Cross Leadership team as Deputy Headteacher leading on Pastoral. This position is fundamental to ensuring that all pupils are safe and looked after, enjoy their time at Tile Cross and thrive within a friendly and welcoming setting. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting our young people to become outstanding members of society and ensure that all pupils strive and reach their full potential. Furthermore, the successful candidate will work with a team of Assistant Heads to develop safeguarding and pastoral care, building upon current strengths, as part of our journey to ‘Outstanding’.
The focus of this role is Pastoral, working with the Head of Academy and senior leaders to:

Develop and oversee the pastoral ethos of the school

outstanding safeguarding for pupils

outstanding behaviour for learning

Oversee
the development of recognition and rewards across the Academy.

excellent pastoral care, guidance, and support

line manage the pastoral senior and middle leadership team

and oversee personal development, behaviour, and welfare of pupils

Lead
on inclusion provision

Lead
on whole school attendance and admissions
· Assume responsibility for GDPR, website and social media
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong and proven track record of strategic leadership with the ability to inspire and enthuse the whole school community. Applicants for this role should be passionate advocates for excellent safeguarding and personal development and developing a positive climate for learning and social interaction around the Academy. We are looking for a self-motivated, exceptionally well organised, and good team player to play a critical and prominent role across the Academy.
Tile Cross Academy is a small and caring 11-16 mixed comprehensive school that was created on 1st May 2017 and is part of Washwood Heath Multi Academy Trust.
