About this Role

Marshalls Park Academy is seeking a capablereliable and enthusiastic Assistant Site Keeper to join our busy Site Services Team in being responsible for general premises, grounds keeping and caretaking duties. Applicants should be self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team to maintain and manage the grounds and buildings 
 
This role is full time, 52 weeks per year36 hours per week, 5 days per week, with your exact working pattern to be discussed at interview. The role also requires a degree of flexibility to cover for holidays, absence or at times of increased need.  

We are seeking candidates with: 

  • A background in maintenance, DIY or trades (electrical, plumbing, gardening, carpentry and decoration). 

  • Caretaking, lettings, or facilities management experience, ideally in a school or similar setting. 

  • A hard-working, resilient approach and able to respond positively to competing demands. 

  • Adaptability and a confident team player.

Marshalls Park Academy is a vibrant, over-subscribed, mixed secondary school of 11 - 16 year olds. Situated in Romford, in the London Borough of Havering, we currently have 1200 students on roll. Having rapidly expanded, we now accept 240 spaces into our Year 7 cohort.
