As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our teaching and support staff to mentor, guide, and inspire pupils across both curriculum and non‑curriculum learning.
Your responsibilities will include preparing classrooms and learning spaces, creating displays of children’s work, and supporting a range of planned activities throughout the school day.
You will provide additional support to pupils who require help completing tasks or engaging with learning, and you will play a key role in promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing. This includes monitoring pupils for signs of challenging behaviour, encouraging positive choices, and sharing any concerns with relevant staff.
You will contribute significantly to helping pupils become confident, independent learners. This will involve explaining tasks, supporting classroom activities, offering 1:1 or small‑group support, and engaging pupils in reading and storytelling opportunities.
You are trustworthy, enthusiastic, energetic, well‑organised, and self‑motivated, with a genuine passion for helping children achieve their best.
You will have:
Experience supporting children across the primary curriculum — including those with social, emotional, or mental health needs — is desirable. However, if you are committed to continuously developing your own practice, we would be delighted to hear from you.
