Are you a passionate Early Years teacher ready to make a lasting difference at the very start of a child’s educational journey?
Whether you’re an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced practitioner, Millennium Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic and nurturing Nursery Teacher to join our Early Years team.
This is a wonderful opportunity to shape children’s first experiences of school — building confidence, independence and a lifelong love of learning within a caring and ambitious environment.
Millennium Primary School is a welcoming and inclusive school at the heart of its community. We are proud of our high expectations, strong relationships and commitment to ensuring every child feels safe, valued and inspired.
Our Early Years provision plays a vital role in laying the foundations for future success. We believe in creating rich, language-focused environments where play, exploration and purposeful teaching work hand in hand.
We are proud to be part of the Maritime Academy Trust, a collaborative network of schools committed to innovation, professional growth and preparing children for a future full of possibility.
About The Role
As our Nursery Teacher, you will lead a vibrant and engaging learning environment where children thrive socially, emotionally and academically.
You will:

Create an enabling environment that promotes curiosity, independence and language development
Support children’s early communication, literacy and numeracy skills through purposeful play
Build strong, positive partnerships with parents and carers
Assess progress thoughtfully and use this to shape next steps
Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth transition into Reception
You will play a key role in giving children the strongest possible start to school life.
We are looking for someone who:
Holds (or will achieve) Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has a strong understanding of the EYFS framework and early child development
Is passionate about play-based, language-rich learning
Creates calm, nurturing environments where children feel secure and confident
Has high expectations for all learners from the very beginning
Values teamwork, reflection and continuous professional growth
Whether you are at the beginning of your career or bring experience from another setting, we are committed to helping you flourish.
