About this Role

Finham Park Multi Academy Trust is a growing organisation which is currently made up of 7 schools across Coventry. The Primary and Secondary schools in Finham Park MAT will set out to pioneer, innovate and deliver a “World Class” education for all.

Lyng Hall is a successful and inclusive school with good outcomes for pupils. We pride ourselves on removing barriers to learning through our core values: Resilience, Respect and Excellence.

Our most recent Ofsted (Nov 2024) described Lyng Hall as a school that ‘welcomes everyone’ and where ‘Staff ‘go the extra mile’ to help pupils.’ The report highlights that ‘The school sets high expectations for pupils’ and ‘Staff forge warm working relationships with pupils and provide a high quality of pastoral care.’ We are ambitious in our goal of delivering a world-class education to all pupils and are fast progressing towards this.

Lyng Hall is committed to the personal development of all their staff and can offer:

•    Outstanding professional development

•    Supportive staff and a strong team ethos

•    Supportive leadership

•    Progression opportunities

•    Opportunities to teach children aged 11 – 18 yrs

•    Superb facilities

•    A staff fleece

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic Senior Science Technician to join our amazing team of science teachers. The role is varied and will include preparing materials for classes from Year 7 through to Post 16, undertaking demonstrations, supporting science teachers and students in the classroom and being involved in our weekly after school science club.

Whilst we’re here to educate young people, we also know that it’s extremely important to keep them healthy, happy and feeling safe – we work very much to the Every Child Matters agenda. The successful applicant will join a team of Associate staff who are committed to supporting the teaching staff to ensure that Lyng Hall students have the best educational “experience” possible.

The successful applicant will join a team of staff who are committed to supporting both the development of the MAT and the school that they work in, ensuring it operates efficiently and offers the best educational “experience” possible to all its students.
