Vacancy for Site Officer (Maternity cover from May 2026 to January 2027)
Salary: Meridian Trust Support Grade 6, Points 7-12
Hours of work: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.
Are you an enthusiastic, reliable, and dedicated individual? We have a great opportunity for a Site Officer to join a supportive, friendly and forward thinking team at Greater Peterborough UTC. We are proud to be Peterborough's first STEM school, giving young people the change to follow a unique academic and technical curriculum into higher education or the world of work. Our £25 million campus was opened in September 2016 and has rapidly established itself as one of the highest performing schools in the area. Our campus includes industry-standard workshops and IT design studios, as well as specialist science labs and state of the art digital engineering equipment.
We are the area’s leading educational establishment for the engineers, architects, scientists and designers of the future, specialising in educating the tech-savvy workforce required for the evolving modern world, in fact over 80% of our leavers continue to study or work in STEM.
The role
You would ensure the security and care of the school buildings, furniture, fittings, and equipment. Alongside, maintaining a safe physical environment with particular emphasis on the day-to-day management of the site. You would be based at Greater Peterborough UTC however we would ideally like someone to be willing to work across the other sites within the Trust to support colleagues in other schools occasionally. This is a hands-on role; a trade skill and knowledge of general cleaning, and maintenance operations and Health & Safety would be an advantage.
