About Our School

Our specialist school sits in a stunning rural setting where calm spaces, fresh air, and strong relationships help our learners feel safe and ready to learn.

We support young people with complex needs, communication and interaction needs and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs, many of whom have experienced disrupted education or trauma.

Our approach is built around:

  • Small classes and personalised learning
  • Trauma-informed and relational practice
  • Consistency, safety and belonging
  • A culture of kindness, humour and teamwork

Our school is filled with laughter, creativity, muddy wellies, fresh air, and a passionate team who show up every day to transform lives.

The Role

We are looking for a warm, committed and inspiring SEND Class Teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and understands the importance of creating a safe and nurturing learning environment.

You will:

·         Teach and support learners in small, nurturing class groups

·         Create a safe, structured, low stimulating but joyful learning environment for learners who have often experienced trauma or exclusion

·         Use trauma-informed approaches and relational practice to support behaviour and emotional regulation

·         Work closely with learning support assistants and therapists

·         Adapt learning to meet a wide range of complex needs

·         Celebrate every step of progress, big or small

This is a role for someone who understands that relationships come before learning and that success may look different for every child.

You Might Be Perfect for this Role if You:

·         Are a passionate and reflective qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent)

·         Have experience working with SEN and/or C&I and/or SEMH

·         Are calm, resilient, and nurturing

·         Can balance warmth with high expectations and high levels of support

·         Will thrive in a small school, big heart environment

·         Believe in transforming the lives of vulnerable learners

·         Enjoy working with a team that is a little bit quirky, very supportive, and completely committed

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working with non-verbal learners
  • Knowledge of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) strategies
  • Experience supporting learners with complex communication needs
  • Experience working within specialist or alternative provision settings

What We Offer

  • Small class sizes with meaningful impact
  • A supportive and welcoming team environment
  • Opportunities for professional development
  • A culture that values staff wellbeing and collaboration
  • The opportunity to work in a beautiful rural setting
  • The chance to make a genuine difference every day

Ready to Make a Difference?

If you’re ready to teach with purpose, help young people rediscover trust in education, and be part of something special, we would love to hear from you.

Come and help us change lives – one relationship at a time.
