About this Role

The Directors of this successful, Catholic Secondary school wishes to appoint someone who is passionate about supporting children’s education and development.

 Do you have the skills and experience to work in a dynamic and inclusive school environment?

 We are seeking 2 committed and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dedicated team.

 As a HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting both teachers and students. Your responsibilities will include:


- Delivering learning activities to groups of children where required.
- Supporting the planning and preparation of lessons, as well as contributing to the assessment and  tracking of pupil progress.
- Working closely with teachers to support individual students or small groups, including those with  additional needs, to ensure they make progress.
- Providing pastoral care and supporting the social and emotional development of pupils.
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all children.


About You:


We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a recognised HLTA qualification or equivalent.
- Has previous experience working in a primary, secondary or special school setting.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of the national curriculum and strategies to support pupil progress.
- Is able to manage and support the learning of whole classes, groups, or individuals.
- Has excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Is passionate about children’s learning and committed to their personal development.

 It is desirable that you have experience of working in a similar role in an educational environment. We are looking for someone who is flexible, self-motivated, reliable and confident with an enthusiasm for what this role can do for our children and their learning.  There are 2 vacancies one EAL support experience is desirable for at least  one of the vacancies.

The role will include supporting our SEND students within the classroom or 1:1 session, ensuring their access to learning. To assist in the development of appropriate resources to ensure the school supports each identified student’s learning needs. Experience in EAL support would be advantageous.
