In this role, you will work with children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC), learning disabilities, and other complex needs across special schools and alternative provisions within the North and West Yorkshire Specialist Schools Partnership (WNYSP). These schools are part of the Wellspring Trust and include:

The Forest School
Forest Moor School
Green Meadows Academy
Penny Field School
Southview Academy (opening 2027)
As a key member of our team, you will work across our partnership schools to:
Assess & Diagnose: Identify speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) in students
Tailor Interventions: Design and deliver evidence-based therapy that fits the student's daily school routine
Collaborate: Work side-by-side with teachers, parents, and fellow professionals to create an environment where communication needs are understood and met.
Advocate: Play a vital role in the EHCP process, setting SMART targets that empower our students to reach their full potential.
A degree in Speech & Language Therapy and current HCPC registration.
Membership (or eligibility) for the RCSLT.
A child-centered approach with the empathy and resilience to work in specialist educational settings.
A full UK driving license and access to a car to travel to our schools.

Location: Employed by Springwell Leeds Academy, working across a designated group of special schools and alternative provision settings within NWYSP, with an expectation of travel.
