Are you a passionate SaLT looking to escape the 9-to-5 grind and find a role with genuine work-life balance?

We are looking for a dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join our growing multidisciplinary team. This isn't just a clinical role; it’s an opportunity to be at the heart of a supportive educational community, transforming the lives of children with diverse SEND needs across the region.

  • Competitive Rewards: Salary aligned with NHS Band 5 plus a dedicated mileage allowance for travel between our vibrant school sites.

  • A Diverse Portfolio: Gain experience across a unique range of settings, including SEMH, PMLD, PRUs, and Generic Special Schools.

  • Growth-Focused Culture: We’ll invest in you with regular clinical supervision and robust CPD opportunities to help you excel in your career..

In this role, you will work with children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC), learning disabilities, and other complex needs across special schools and alternative provisions within the North and West Yorkshire Specialist Schools Partnership (WNYSP). These schools are part of the Wellspring Trust and include:

  • Springwell Leeds Academy

  • Springwell Harrogate

  • The Forest School

  • Forest Moor School

  • Green Meadows Academy

  • Penny Field School

  • Southview Academy (opening 2027)

Your Impact:

As a key member of our team, you will work across our partnership schools to:

  • Assess & Diagnose: Identify speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) in students

  • Tailor Interventions: Design and deliver evidence-based therapy that fits the student's daily school routine

  • Collaborate: Work side-by-side with teachers, parents, and fellow professionals to create an environment where communication needs are understood and met.

  • Advocate: Play a vital role in the EHCP process, setting SMART targets that empower our students to reach their full potential.

What You Bring:

  • A degree in Speech & Language Therapy and current HCPC registration.

  • Membership (or eligibility) for the RCSLT.

  • A child-centered approach with the empathy and resilience to work in specialist educational settings.

  • A full UK driving license and access to a car to travel to our schools.

Ready to Change Lives?

Join a partnership that values your expertise as much as your well-being. At NWYSP, you aren't just a therapist—you’re a communication champion.

Location: Employed by Springwell Leeds Academy, working across a designated group of special schools and alternative provision settings within NWYSP, with an expectation of travel.
