About this Role

Part – Time Class Teacher - 2 days per week - Key Stage 2

FIXED TERM FOR ONE YEAR FROM THE POINT OF EMPLOYMENT

Are you committed to learning and teaching? Are you looking to develop yourself? Are you ready to be part of our learning community?

Come and join us! Help make us our schools ‘Stand out!’

We are looking for an experienced teacher for a Key Stage 2 (upper) position to start from 1st September 2026 for 2 days per week, to help us to maintain the excellent practice across our school.

We are seeking to appoint an energetic, highly motivated, dynamic and forward-thinking teacher who places children at the centre of school life, ensuring every child achieves their full potential.

You will have high personal and professional standards, drive and energy with a teaching ability at a high level which will provide a role model for all.

Kingsnorth Church of England Primary School has a very strong Christian, caring ethos and seeks to inspire every one of our pupils to explore their intellectual curiosity, to develop the appropriate skills and social abilities of all children. We believe through Christian teaching and example our children will benefit and be enriched.

As part of our ongoing efforts to create an inclusive school community, we have adopted Opal Play and have recently renewed our status as a flagship school for the Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM). This achievement highlights our ongoing priority of ensuring equal access to the curriculum for all students and staff, regardless of ability or need.

We are a Nurture UK School committed to working with trauma-informed practices. Our dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment is reflected in the successful implementation of writing for pleasure across the school, which aligns seamlessly with our passion for reading. We are also proud to be a DfE English Hub, demonstrating our commitment to excellence in phonics and literacy.

Our children are motivated, well behaved and a pleasure to work with. We take the progress of our staff and pupils seriously and can offer you good career development and the chance to work with our existing dedicated staff. We are a caring school, with enthusiastic and engaging children.

The successful candidate will be well supported by our whole school team.

Visits to the school are strongly encouraged and you will also find a wealth of information about our school on our website www.kingsnorth.kent.sch.uk.

If this position appeals to you, to make a real difference to pupil achievement, please contact the school office to arrange a visit or an informal conversation on 01233 622673.

Our school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff are expected to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to follow the relevant safeguarding procedures, including Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE) guidance, and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.

We encourage early applications and reserve the right to close this vacancy early if a suitable candidate is found.
