Job Purpose
To act as an Assistant to support the Exams Officer and the SIMS & Data Officer. You will have excellent communication and IT skills and a willingness to develop these skills. You will need to have an organised approach to your work, with attention to detail, and be motivated and enthusiastic.
Duties and responsibilities:
Exams-
·
Assist
with the co-ordination, preparation and running of student examinations,
including mock exams, external exams and online exams.
·
Ensure
examination papers are delivered safely in the school, being responsible for
their strict security. Ensure completed scripts are dispatched promptly and
securely in line with JCQ and examination board requirements.
·
Ensure
that all examinations start and finish appropriately, in line with the
examination board regulations. Ensure that all necessary stationery and
materials and other requirements are provided for examinations.
·
Assist
with enquiries from parents and pupils, including former pupils. Retrieve pupil
data, such as exam timetables, from SIMS management information system, as
required.
·
Keep
up to date with the necessary policies, procedures, rules and regulations set
by the examination boards and JCQ.
·
Assist
in the administration of exam certificate distribution.
·
Attend
training courses/meetings as necessary.
Data
–
·
Ensure that all student information is up to
date and accurately recorded on academy database systems working with and
through others.
·
To maintain and update information held on
academy database systems relating to assessment and examinations.
·
Notify staff of any assessment requirements and
dates to ensure that deadlines are maintained.
·
Assist in the production of data analysis and
the production of student reports.
·
Assist with the maintenance and updating of the
school’s data analyse tools such as, SISRA and FFT Aspire.
·
Use Microsoft packages, particularly Word and
Excel to analyse and present data to different stakeholders within the academy.
·
Assist the maintenance and creation of all
pastoral reports (Attendance, Behaviour and Rewards Data).
·
To ensure that data protection regulations are
complied with and maintained.
General
Responsibilities –
·
Adhere to existing working practices, methods
and procedures. Undertake relevant training and development activities and
respond positively to new and alternative systems.

Attend staff meetings and INSET activities
where relevant.
·
Carry out any additional duties within the
overall function commensurate with the grading and level of responsibility of
the job
·
Work in line with statutory safeguarding guidance
(e.g. Keeping Children Safe in Education, Prevent) and our safeguarding and
child protection policies
·
Promote the safeguarding of all pupils in the school
· To undertake tasks of a similar nature and level, as directed by the Headteacher.
