Inkersall Spencer Academy is a vibrant two-form entry primary school with a thriving 52-place nursery, situated in a community facing high deprivation challenges. We proudly serve a diverse pupil population, including a significant number of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), and those with social care involvement. Our nursery is oversubscribed, reflecting the trust families place in us. Despite current pupil numbers being below capacity, our dedicated team is committed to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can flourish. About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5/6 Teacher to inspire and educate our wonderful pupils. This is an exciting opportunity to join a school with a strong team ethos and pupils who genuinely love to be at school.

This is a fixed term role until July 2026

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality teaching to Year 5/6 classes, meeting the needs of all pupils.

Plan and implement engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and learning.

Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting teaching to meet individual needs.

Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

Collaborate closely with colleagues to share best practice and support whole-school priorities.

Engage with parents and carers to support pupil development and wellbeing.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

Experience teaching Key Stage 2 pupils is highly desirable.

Ability to manage a class effectively and create a positive learning environment.

Desirable Qualities

A genuine passion for working with children from diverse and challenging backgrounds.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Flexibility, resilience, and a commitment to professional development.

Enthusiasm for contributing to a collaborative team culture.
