About this Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and inspiring History specialist to lead our successful History department. We are seeking a dynamic Curriculum Leader who is passionate about shaping a rich, challenging, and inclusive History curriculum that ignites curiosity and fosters a love of learning in every student.

About the Role

The Curriculum Leader for History will:

  • Lead the strategic development of the History curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4.

  • Drive high-quality teaching and learning, ensuring consistently excellent outcomes for students.

  • Support, mentor, and develop a team of dedicated History teachers.

  • Use data and assessment intelligently to inform planning, intervention, and curriculum refinement.

  • Contribute to whole-school initiatives and play an active role in the wider leadership team.

  • Is an outstanding classroom practitioner with a strong track record of securing excellent progress.

  • Has a deep passion for History and a commitment to delivering a broad, diverse, and engaging curriculum.
