About the Role

Our House Champions play a vital part in promoting a positive school culture by helping to motivate, inspire and engage students in a wide range of House activities, competitions, and events. This voluntary position is ideal for staff who enjoy working with young people, value community, and want to contribute to the wider life of the school.

Key Responsibilities

·     To help embed the identity of their assigned House across all year groups

·     Promote their House values and motto

·     Encourage student participation in House events

·     Create a House sense of pride within the school wide community

·     Develop healthy competition between the ambassadors House and the other two Houses

·     Build a sense of unity between different year groups through the House identity

·     To plan and deliver assemblies to promote the House identity

·     Liaising with the House system lead (Jake Tomsett), SSLG and School Council (including relevant overseeing staff) to co-ordinate and deliver House events

·     Advertise and promote House events to ensure students are aware of them

·     Responsibility of tracking and reporting student participation in house events

·     Updating the House google classrooms page to keep students updated

·     Promoting their House identity across the school in innovative ways

·     Engaging with student voice to support the process of the House identity

Any other activities defined by the Head teacher
