About this Role

About the Role

In partnership with the SLT line manager and pastoral team, you will:

·         Design & deliver a seamless KS2 to KS3 transition programme, including Year 6 taster days, open events and induction weeks.

·         Coordinate reintegration for learners returning after exclusion or extended absence.

·         Lead on behaviour for learning, intervening early, removing and reintegrating learners as needed, and administering sanctions in line with policy.

·         Offer one-to-one pastoral support, from conduct disorders to bereavement, working closely with parents/carers, colleagues and external agencies.

·         Chaperone and supervise learners during break/lunch duties, detentions and duty team rota.

·         Monitor, record and analyse behaviour data (Arbor/CPOMS) to inform targeted interventions.

·         Liaise with parents/carers—conducting meetings, home visits and progress updates.

·         Contribute to whole-school initiatives, including anti-bullying campaigns, collective worship and staff training.

About You

We’d love to hear from someone who can demonstrate:

·         Previous secondary-school pastoral experience (essential).

·         A proven track record in pastoral care, behaviour management or inclusion.

·         Excellent communication skills, able to build trust with learners, families and staff.

·         Strong organisational ability—prioritising caseloads, transition timelines and data analysis.

·         Confidence with Arbor/CPOMS or similar MIS systems.

·         A compassionate yet firm approach—warmth and consistency in equal measure.

·         Ability to work independently and as an integral member of a dynamic pastoral team.

·         Commitment to our Catholic ethos and the values of Love, Faith and Joy.

What We Offer

·         A supportive, faith-based community committed to every learner’s success.

·         Ongoing CPD in behaviour for learning, safeguarding and pastoral leadership.

·         Term-time working patterns, plus paid INSET days.

·         Employee wellbeing programme, free on-site parking and staff social events.

·         The opportunity to make a real difference at our school.
