Salary: Starting at NJC Scale 3, point 5 £25,175 per annum (£29,436 FTE) rising to NJC Scale 3, point 6 £25,534 per annum (£29,856 FTE) inclusive of Outer London Weighting
Hours: 8:00am-3:45pm, Monday to Thursday and 8:00am- 3:30pm, Friday (36 hours per week), term-time only plus five INSET days

Ruislip High School is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly effective individual to join our flourishing science department. The successful applicant will be part of a team of technicians who service the science, art, craft and design and also food and nutrition departments and the flexibility to cover the other faculties if required would be desirable.
The duties of the role include the preparation of materials, equipment and chemicals for lessons, caring for plants and animals, ensuring the clearing and cleaning of laboratories, as well as art, craft and design and food and nutrition rooms as appropriate. Other duties will include advising on the stock of materials and undertaking inventory checks. The role will also include working alongside teachers to aid student progress.
This is a varied role and full training will be provided. The role would suit someone looking to work part-time or return to the workforce. The successful applicant will need:

to be able to demonstrate flexibility;
to have energy, stamina and a sense of humour.
Ruislip High School is an outstanding, oversubscribed, 11-18, mixed comprehensive school with 1325 students on roll and we have a dedicated sixth form centre. We obtain excellent results. In the summer of 2025, 59% of students attained a grade 5 or above in English and Maths with 82% attaining at least a grade 4 in both subjects; at A Level, 53% of all grades were A* to B, with the majority of Year 13 students securing places at their first choice of destination..
