Classroom Teacher

We are seeking an excellent classroom teacher to join our dedicated team at St Wilfrid's Catholic Academy. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to make a significant impact on the lives of our pupils.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire, motivate, and challenge pupils
  • Promote a love of learning and intellectual curiosity
  • Plan and structure lessons effectively to secure strong learning outcomes
  • Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to support diverse learners
  • Regularly assess and monitor pupil progress, providing meaningful feedback

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Commitment to upholding the Catholic ethos of the school
  • Excellent subject knowledge and commitment to professional development
  • Experience teaching in a primary school setting (placements accepted for ECTs)
  • Strong behaviour management and ability to build a positive, safe learning environment
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s development

Desirable Qualities

  • Experience teaching across primary age ranges
  • Experience using scaffolding strategies to support accessibility
  • Knowledge of current educational research and pedagogy
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
