Are you passionate about working with children and creating engaging learning environments? We are looking for a committed individual to take the lead in coordinating ‘The Buzz Club’ out of school club, a play care service that provides childcare for parents of primary aged children. The role involves coordinating the provision, including supervision of pupils and staff, providing of refreshments and ensuring we have quality activities for children that include sports, games, creative activities, arts and craft. Sessions run after school until 6 pm.

We require someone who can relate well to parents and children as well as supervise the play workers in the team. It is important that you are passionate about ‘play’ and can take the lead in maintaining the very best childcare for our pupils.

13.50 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time, + 5 training days), permanent contract

Who we are looking for

A person who

•             Childcare qualifications/professional development in this area

•             The ability to communicate clearly with colleagues, senior leaders and parents

•             A proven experience of supervising children

•             Experience of planning, preparing and delivering play and activities for children

•             Worked within a school setting with

•             Experience of primary aged children and an up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the practices and procedures relating to the welfare, development, safety and education of children

•             The ability to take a lead role in the planning and provision of activities and snacks

•             Can encourage, lead and support play worker assistants

•             Has ability to self-evaluate

•             An ability to communicate effectively with parents and colleagues, verbally and in writing

•             Can encourage high standards of pupil behaviour at all times
