About this Role

We are looking to appoint a 6th Form Study Support Officer & Enrichment Coordinator to support our students during their independent study periods due to significant growth in student numbers in the 6th Form. We are looking to build on the success of our 6th Form outcomes by giving students more structure and support during their independent study periods. The successful candidate will be based in the Library, which is used as a 6th Form study area for significant parts of the day. The ideal candidate will be able to manage groups of students, motivate and support them in their study periods to ensure that they utilise their time in school effectively, as well as supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups as required. Additionally, as Enrichment Coordinator, the candidate will assist with the planning, administration and delivery of enrichment activities at the school. There will be a particular focus on the 6th Form enrichment programme, which has developed significantly in the last year, but also whole-school areas as well, for example supporting with administration of the Duke of Edinburgh programme. The candidate will play an important role in ensuring our school enrichment activities continue to develop both in scope and in engagement levels.

The successful candidate will also assist with the smooth running of the Library for other users throughout the day, for example at lunchtime. This is a secondary role, and will largely consist of ensuring that the environment is kept orderly and monitoring the use of resources.

The position is for a minimum of 5.5 hours a day, Monday to Friday, total hours may vary each week, term time plus one week. Full or part-time would be considered.  The salary will be dependent upon experience but will be paid on point H5, salary in the range of £27,254-£29,540 (FTE) plus outer fringe allowance.

The school is committed to safeguarding children and young people.  All postholders are subject to a satisfactory enhanced DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service).
