About this Role

An exciting opportunity has become available at our state of the art school. This is an excellent opportunity for an highly motivated Senior First Aider & Medication Coordinator (with administrative responsibility)

Our ethos of ‘Ensuring Excellence’ is at the forefront of everything that we do. The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily First Aid and Medication arrangements within school. 

Our belief is that every child really does matter and that all of our students should feel safe and supported in an environment where they can experience success and enjoy their learning.

Working Pattern: 37 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 4:00pm, Friday 8:00am – 3:30pm. Term time only.

The successful candidate will have: 

  • First Aid Qualification - Must be willing, if not already qualified to complete and maintain certification of the following: First Aid for work, Mental Heath First Aid, First Responder on the Scene (FROS)
  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C
  • Full Drivers Licence 
  • Experience appropriate to working with children in an educational setting
  • Experience of assisting with health and medical routines of young people
  • Experience of creating and maintaining student healthcare plans
  • Able to organise and manage time efficiently and effectively whilst being flexible
  • Maintains confidentiality
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisations skills
  • Work constructively as part of a team, understanding school roles and responsibilities and your own position within these
  • Confidence and ability to relate well to children and adults; proactive friendly ‘can do’ attitude
  • Shows enthusiasm and commitment to undertaking tasks as required and in particular in seeing tasks through to completion
